Angus Thomson is a 3D artist, designer, and creative generalist based in Melbourne. With a background in 3D modeling, graphic design, and post-production, he holds a Master’s in Animation & Visualisation from UTS Animal Logic Academy and an Honours degree in Industrial Design.
His 3D work spans character and creature design, props, environments, miniatures, film and 3D printing. Notably was the 3D modeller of the hero robot for the award-winning short film Alone and has since contributed to a mix of films, freelance projects, and personal shorts exploring storytelling through design.
Alongside 3D work, Angus has designed posters, titles, and marketing materials for Australian documentaries with Tamarind Tree Pictures, and collaborated with Arterial Design on exhibition spaces and cultural installations.
Skilled across Unreal, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, and Adobe Creative Suite, he thrives on hands-on creativity — building, problem-solving, and bringing ideas to life across digital and physical mediums.
